This service is free to you, our customer.

2.         What transactions can you do with Internet banking?
You will be able to transfer from one of your SCNB accounts to another, schedule transfers to occur at a later date, reconcile your account without having to wait on your statement and make regular monthly installment loan payments.

3.         How do you apply for Internet banking?
Sign up is done in person at any SCNB location or by mail.

Sign up is quick and easy, requiring your signature, the account numbers you want to have access to through the Internet, and your e-mail address.   Your temporary password will be assigned to you at the time of signup, if done in person.  If you chose to apply by mail, you will be notified of your temporary password by letter, mailed to your address on record.

4.         How are login names and passwords issued?
The login name is your social security number.  You have the option to change the login name by clicking Online Services and Customer Preferences.  After initial log on to Internet banking, you will be prompted to change your password.   A minimum number of 6 characters are required. We recommend using an alpha-numeric configuration. For added security, always remember to refrain from using commonly known identification numbers.

No!  You are responsible for the safeguarding of your password.

6.        How do you log on for the first time?
Access to Internet banking will be available at 6:00 PM the next business day, after you sign up.

First, click Online Banking; second, input your login name, which is your social security number with no dashes; next, input your temporary password and click login. You will be prompted to enter your permanent password.  The online disclosure will appear.  Please take a few minutes to read the disclosure in its entirety, scroll to the bottom and check the box “Thanks, I‘ve already read this”. Then, you can access your accounts. If you check the above-mentioned box, then the online disclosure will not reappear. Failure to check this box will cause the online disclosure to appear every time you log on.

7.        What security features are used with SCNB Internet Banking?
We implement many security features to protect your customer information, including:

128-Bit encryption - (highest commercially available) and secure socket layer protection (SSL).

Inactivity log offs – you will be automatically logged off after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Password Failure - 5 consecutive unsuccessful password attempts will cause your password to become invalid.

Password Expiration – No Internet banking activity within the first 14 days of signup or within any consecutive 90-day period will cause your password to become invalid.

8.         What are your options if your password has become invalid?
If you remember your password, your password can be reset by contacting the bank at (417) 723-5225 on Monday through Friday.  Passwords can be reset only during normal banking hours. If you do not remember your password, a new temporary password must be issued by contacting the bank. New temporary passwords can be issued only during normal banking hours on Monday through Friday.  After logging on with your new temporary password, you will be prompted to change that password to your new permanent password.
